The brief
This house was bought for its sheer renovation potential which would make use of its almost 360 degree sea views. With 3 teenagers and a granddaughter on the way, the kitchen needed to be well thought out to suit the multiple cooks and also look stunning to suit the clients' passion for interior design.
The mix of elements creates a modern and contrasting aesthetic. Lacquer and reconstituted veneer were used for the doors and drawers. White acrylic benchtops were chosen for a smooth, clean look.
Negative detailing, in the form of recessed aluminium handle pulls, continue the smooth minimalist lines of the kitchen. The existing concrete floor was ground back and polished to expose the aggregate.
